Is there any way of finding out who the musicians were who played on these and where they were recorded?
ReplyDeleteHi
DeleteUnfortunately there is no indication on the LP's itself. I presume some of the info might be available from MFP. Here is also just some info:

We had many of these on tapes, when I was a child... Rivalled very strongly by the Pop Shop series, which featured original artists. But the Springbok ones cost a bomb, if memory serves well. And I loved hanging around OK Hit City in those days!
ReplyDeleteSprinbok Radio IS still my favorite station to listen to unfortunately nothing so far has
ReplyDeletereplaced it or come near it for entertainment, maybe it's age related on my part but I miss
the pleasure it gave my sister and I.
I bought nearly all the HITS LP's, married a wonderful wife she likes my music taste, which resulted in a lull in my record buying ritual thus missing out on HITS 71-72-73-74 :( my records are in near mint used, played on Garrard 301, SME3009,empire 2000e
Thank you for the effort that went into this site.
Regards Domenic Toldo
